Objective/s
To support BiH in developing more effective and efficient weapons and ammunition management frameworks and capacities in line with relevant OSCE commitments and best practices.
Contributing to the Roadmap goal/s
Goal 1 -
By 2023, ensure that arms control legislation is in place, fully harmonized with the EU regulatory framework and other related international obligations and standardized across the region.
Goal 6 -
Systematically decrease the surplus and destroy seized small arms and light weapons and ammunition.
Contributing to the Roadmap overall targets
Goal 1:

Ensure full legal and regulatory framework is in place with regards to FAE producers.

Fully harmonize arms control legislation with EU legal framework and in line with international agreements/standards.
Goal 6:

Systematically destroy all surplus stockpile FAE in an environmentally benign manner.
Key activities implemented up to date

Support meetings and workshops concerned with the implementation of the SALW Control Strategy and work of the Coordination Board for SALW Control.

Support BiH participation at OSCE meetings on SALW and SCA.

Support compliance of BiH with international arms control commitments.

Conduct monitoring and assessment visits to ammunition and weapons storage sites, demolition ranges and demilitarization facilities in BiH.

Facilitating BiH MoD visits to ammunition and weapons storage sites, demolition ranges demilitarisation facilities and ammunition laboratories in the region (i.e. Slovenia, North Macedonia).

Support BiH participation at regional and international events on SALW and SCA management (VD 2011 and the DPA Article IV Orientation Courses).
