Education:

BA in Social Sciences or other relevant field with 4 years of relevant research experience; or

MA in Social Sciences or other relevant filed with 2 years of relevant research experience.

Experience:

Minimum 4 years of research experience with the focus on the security sector.;

Research experience in the area of disarmament and arms control and in South East Europe will be an asset;

Experience in devising and implementing complex research a strong asset.

Language skills:

Proficiency in English, both spoken and written; knowledge of another South East European language will be an advantage.

Required Skills and Experience

Master’s degree or equivalent in political or social sciences or related field.

Bachelors degree or equivalent in political or social sciences or related field.

Experience:

1) Master's or higher degree in above mentioned fields with 2 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing management advisory services and hands-on experience in design and monitoring of projects;

OR

Licence degree in above mentioned fields with 3 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing management advisory services and hands-on experience in design and monitoring of projects;

OR

Bachelor’s degree in above mentioned fields with 4 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing management advisory services and hands-on experience in design and monitoring of projects;

2) Experience in project development and implementation in the field of arms control activities, armed violence prevention, citizen security or law enforcement in South East Europe a strong asset;

3) Experience with the implementation of EU funded projects in particular in the context of EU accession chapters 23 and 24 a strong asset,

4) Experience in law enforcement cooperation a strong asset;

5) Experience in provision of technical advice and development of capacity building activities for the national authorities in the region in the field of arms control activities a strong asset;

6) Experience in partnership building at international, regional and national level a strong asset;

7) Experience in budgets development and management a strong asset;

8) Knowledge of arms control, law enforcement, armed violence prevention and citizen security thematic areas a strong asset;

9) Knowledge of gender equality in security sector reform processes a strong asset;

10) Experience in procuring goods and services a strong asset;

11) Excellent understanding of the political and economic situation in the Western Balkans a requirement;

12) Knowledge of the existent legal and institutional frameworks for arms control, armed violence prevention and citizen security in South East Europe a strong asset;

13) Knowledge of UNDP rules and procedures would be an asset; in particular procurement.

Education:

A secondary education diploma

OR

A Bachelor’s degree

Experience:

1) 4 years of relevant administrative experience with secondary education

    OR

    1 year of relevant administrative experience with Bachelors degree.

2) Additional experience (more than 4 years for candidates with secondary education, and more than      1 year for candidates with bachelor’s degree) - will be a strong asset;

3) Experience in organization of meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences is a requirement;

4) Comprehensive knowledge of and experience working in project administration is a requirement;

5) Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) is a requirement

6) Experience in handling of web-based management systems is a requirement;

7) Experience in the use of ATLAS System is an asset.

Education:

PhD in Law Studies.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of gender equality with focus on prevention of all forms of discrimination, including gender-based discrimination, sexual harassment and abuse;

Excellent knowledge about the complaint mechanisms and prevention of  all forms, types and cases of discrimination, 

Proven ability to facilitate trainings for groups comprised of government officials;

Experience in policy development and analysis of public policies from gender perspective;

Experience in working with the government;

Experience in working with the international development organizations.
