Education and Work Experience

Education: 

Secondary Education 

or

Bachelor’s degree in political, social sciences, business, public administration or related field.

Experience:

6 years of professional experience in fields relevant to the specific duties of the job such as in providing support to project implementation or administration is a requirement, preferably in an international organization (applicable for applicants having secondary education);

or

3 years of professional experience in fields relevant to the specific duties of the job such as in providing support to project implementation or administration

is a requirement, preferably in an international organization (applicable for applicants having bachelor’s degree);

Experience in collection, analysis and presentation of information for preparation of project reports, project documents, concepts, workplans, budgets, proposals on implementation arrangements and knowledge management products required;

Experience organizing meetings, workshops, seminars, conferences and other events including logistical preparations and correspondence required;

Experience in procuring goods and services a strong asset;

Excellent understanding of the political and economic situation in the Western Balkans is a strong asset;

Knowledge of the existent legal and institutional frameworks for arms control, armed violence prevention and citizen security in South East Europe a strong asset;

Knowledge of UNDP rules and procedures would be an asset;

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Language Requirements:

Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Serbian and English.

Other:

Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and experience in handling of web-based management systems (i.e. ERP, Atlas, PeopleSoft programmes) is required.

Competencies

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

BA in law, political, or social sciences or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in criminal investigations in the field of SALW control;

Proven experience in conducting analysis and reporting;

Experience in working with governments;

Language skills:

Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English is required.
