News Source News Source News SourceA 34-year-old man was shot and killed on the sidewalk in front of his house. The investigation revealed that the murder was a planned contract killing, organised by a 29-year-old man due to a personal conflict, with a promised payment of €10,000. The perpetrator, a 43-year-old man, illegally entered Serbia from Bosnia and Herzegovina to carry out the act. During the attack, the perpetrator initially attempted to fire a 9mm pistol, but the weapon jammed. He then used a second pistol (7.65mm) and fired multiple shots. During the police raid of the premises used by the suspects, an illegal pistol was found, leading to an additional charge of illegal production, possession, carrying, and trafficking of weapons and explosives. Additionally, a 32-year-old man was arrested. He was on Interpol's international wanted list for drug-related crimes and is also suspected of aiding the primary perpetrator after the murder. The primary suspect is also suspected of murdering a 58-year-old man in July 2024. In total, five men were subsequently arrested for their roles as organisers, executioners, and accomplices. A trial in the Higher Court is scheduled for June 2026.
