Nine persons were shot and killed, and 13 were shot and injured with an automatic rifle and a pistol in illegal possession by a 21-year-old man in a mass shooting in three villages. The shooting was allegedly preceded by an argument with some of the victims in the schoolyard, after which the perpetrator returned with the automatic rifle and started shooting from the car. The perpetrator drove- off and opened fire in the other two villages. After an all-night pursuit, the perpetrator surrendered to the police. According to unofficial information, while on the run, the perpetrator stopped a taxi vehicle with a taxi driver and a pregnant woman inside and threatened a taxi driver with a bomb to drive him to a hideaway. 

During the search of a cottage the suspect used, the police found and seized a carbine with an optical sight, a pistol, a signal pistol, two silencers, a hunting knife and other weapon parts and a total of 164 bullets of different calibres, 13 hunting cartridges, 12 shell casings, 4 bullets for a signal pistol and 25 pieces of carbine ammunition. During the search of the house where the suspect was hiding, the police found and seized four hand grenades, several boxes with pistol ammunition, several rounds of rifle ammunition, a pistol magazine, two magazines most likely for an automatic rifle, a scope mount, as well as an automatic rifle without a serial number.

The automatic rifle used in the mass murder was found and seized by the police. The investigation is ongoing.
