A joint military and police operation located two large rucksacks containing explosive material and detonating cord near a gas pipeline. Counter‑diversion teams, police dogs, drones, helicopters and special units secured and searched roads and surrounding villages. Authorities and military police recovered suspicious packages and are treating the incident as a credible threat to critical gas infrastructure and public safety.  Forensic teams are examining the items and an intensive investigation to identify perpetrators is ongoing. Prosecutors have launched proceedings against seven individuals in connection with the illegal production, possession and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials. Explosives and explosive devices were linked to an organized group involved in storing and trafficking explosive materials from Serbia towards EU countries.
