Strengthening Leadership for Gender Equality in the Ministry of Defence of Montenegro

Following the successful Gender Coach Programme (GCP) conducted with the high-level representative in Human Resources Directorate in 2019, MoD of Montenegro nominated Lieutenant Colonel Miladin Čogurić, acting Director General of Directorate for Human Resources and Colonel Željko Radulović, Deputy chief of General Staff to take part in GCP that will roll out in 2021 and 2022. The initial meetings with Lieutenant Colonel Miladin Čogurić and Colonel Željko Radulović were held on 2 November 2021 in Podgorica to develop work plan and topics of the programme.

Gender Coach Programme an innovative approach, self-paced and tailored to the needs of high-level officials, that enables participants to become leaders in integrating gender into their operations and encourage change in their institution.

This activity is part of the Strengthening of Regional Cooperation on Gender Mainstreaming in Security Sector Reform in the Western Balkans project is financed by the governments of Norway and the Slovak Republic. With the support of UNDP SEESAC, the project provides the Ministries of Defence and Armed Forces in the Western Balkans with a platform where, over the next three years, they can exchange ideas and develop policies to ensure long-term and sustainable inclusion of the gender perspective in defence policies and practices.
