A World War II-era aerial bomb, type "M.C. 1.000lb Mk I" of British manufacture, was discovered at a construction site. The bomb weighs approximately 500 kilograms, containing around 220 kilograms of explosive material. Members of the Ministry of Interior’s Emergency Situations Sector conducted an investigation, identification, and condition assessment of the unexploded ordnance in preparation for its removal, transport, and destruction. In the days that followed, the bomb was safely and efficiently destroyed by the Ministry of Interior’s Sector for Emergency Situations.
