Seven hand grenades, three pistols, four suppressors, four pistol magazines and 201 rounds of various calibres were found in a house, after a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of illegal production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials. According to the report, the arrest occurred during an investigation into the disappearance of a large quantity of weapons from the Police Station, firearms that had been previously surrendered by citizens during last year’s amnesty campaign. Police say the detainee, a relative of a 28-year-old man who recently died by suicide using one of the missing weapons, showed officers the location where the deceased had kept the arsenal, leading to the discovery of the explosives and firearms.
