Four masked persons armed with automatic weapons robbed a jewelry store and stole about 18 kg of gold worth around 1.8 million euros. The perpetrators fled in a car without license plates, which was later found burned on a village road. During the search of the vehicle, an automatic rifle with a bayonet was found. Two of the suspects, who are police officers, are believed to have planned the robbery together with other unidentified persons. They participated in the preparations and, on the day of the robbery, used an official Ministry of Interior vehicle to secure the route for the robbers. The perpetrators were arrested and charged, and measures are being taken to clear up the case.
