A man recruited another man by offering him money and other benefits to commit a criminal offence. For this purpose, he procured a firearm and arranged for it to be provided to the recruited man through a third individual. The recruited man was arrested on 21 September for illegal possession/carrying of the firearm and subsequently remanded in custody. The investigation also indicated that the recruiter had supplied drugs to the recruited man and another individual for further sale in 2024. On 22 September, police arrested the recruiter and the intermediary involved in providing the firearm. The investigation is ongoing. The recruiter is being investigated for several offences, including drug trafficking, human trafficking and procuring a weapon intended for the commission of a crime.
