Responding to a reported case of domestic violence, a 52-year-old police officer was shot and injured when the 43-year-old suspect opened fire at him with an illegal handgun. The suspect then attempted to take his life with a firearm, sustaining an injury. Both individuals were transported to the hospital. It is reported that the perpetrator had already been accused of domestic violence and is known to the police. Additionally, the pistol used in the incident is in illegal possession.
