During searches conducted as part of the ongoing operation META IV, the police carried out raids at five locations in Zenica, while the operation targeted individuals suspected of serious organised crime. The searches resulted in the seizure of a substantial quantity of weapons, explosives, drugs, and equipment. Specifically, police found and seized approximately 2 kilograms of explosives, 50 detonators and igniters, slow-burning fuse cord, one hand grenade, five rifles, three pistols, and around 1,000 rounds of rifle and handgun ammunition. Additionally, two bulletproof vests, two vacuum sealing machines, a rifle scope, several mobile phones, around 6 kilograms of a powdery substance resembling the narcotic drug “Speed,” and approximately 7 kilograms of plant material believed to be marijuana were seized. Three digital precision scales and around 50,000 convertible marks in cash were also recovered. Six individuals, aged 34, 28, 24, 50, 23 and 60, were arrested during the operation. They are suspected of manufacturing and distributing narcotic drugs and supplying weapons and explosives to other individuals previously arrested during this operation.
