A group of approximately ten armed men arrived at a hotel resort in seven vehicles and surrounded its owner in the restaurant, demanding five million euros and telling him to leave the country within 48 hours. One man took a licensed pistol from the owner's car and fired at the vehicles parked outside. Police set up checkpoints and arrested five men; a pistol and a magazine with sixteen cartridges were seized from one fleeing vehicle and three further cartridges from another.
