Police officers arrested a 33-year-old man after he attempted to flee and discarded a firearm. The police seized a Walther PP pistol with an obliterated serial number, loaded with one round in the chamber and eight in the magazine. He also tried to dispose of an encrypted mobile phone believed to have been intended for criminal activities. The perpetrator was taken into custody on suspicion of illegal possession and carrying of firearms and explosive materials.
