Five members of an organized criminal group, suspected of large-scale drug trafficking and smuggling firearms, were arrested during a joint international operation coordinated with law enforcement from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland, under Eurojust and Europol. The alleged leader, aged 38, reportedly established transport companies in Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Hungary, used to traffic over one ton of various drugs and five pistols from Spain, the Netherlands, and Germany to Scandinavia between 2020 and 2025. During searches in Belgrade and Leskovac, firearms, ammunition, encrypted phones, company documents, luxury vehicles, and eight apartments suspected to have been purchased with illicit funds were seized. One suspect remains at large.
