An illegal pistol and 298 rounds of various calibres were found during a police search of an apartment where the 35-year-old man was staying without registration. Officers also seized more than one kilogram of amphetamine, 50 grams of marijuana, a smaller quantity of cocaine, a digital scale, and a significant amount of money suspected to be proceeds from drug sales. The perpetrator was arrested on suspicion of unauthorised production and distribution of narcotics, as well as unlawful possession of weapons and explosive materials.
