During a police operation, officers searched a vehicle service garage co-owned by two men and found and seized an automatic firearm, three magazines and 82 rounds of war ammunition. Two vehicles, a motorcycle and two sets of number plates, were also seized there, and a further vehicle and 55,000 leke were seized from the home of another man. The operation followed a burglary committed on 14 August 2026 in which 2,500,000 leke and jewellery worth about 500,000 leke were stolen. Three of the four identified men, aged 26, 23 and 37, were arrested, and the fourth was declared wanted.
