Two masked perpetrators entered a jewellery store, one of them carrying an object appearing to be a firearm, and threatened a seller during the robbery. The perpetrators stole a quantity of jewellery and fled the scene on a motorcycle. Police set up checkpoints and are investigating to identify and catch them. Police arrested a 22-year-old suspect five days later, identified the second suspect, and seized some jewellery that had reportedly fallen during the suspects’ escape. The firearm and motorcycle used in the robbery have not been found. The arrested suspect had a prior criminal record for narcotics cultivation.
