Fifty-four rounds of 7.65 mm pistol ammunition were found and seized by police officers during a court-authorised search of a residence used by a 34-year-old man, as part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal firearm possession and related violence. Further investigation led police to suspect that the seized ammunition actually belonged to the perpetrator's father, and the suspect will face criminal charges for unlawful possession and carrying of weapons and explosive materials.
