Police arrested a 53-year-old man while he was preparing to enter a house to commit a theft and seized a pistol with one magazine containing ammunition. Two screwdrivers, pliers, two hats, a black mask, gloves and cash were also seized. Investigators linked him to a committed house theft on 31 May 2026 and an attempted house theft on 5 June 2026. The suspect had prior criminal records for offences against persons and property.
