A masked man waited for a 41-year-old man in the hallway of his building and fired several shots at him as he approached his apartment. The victim sustained gunshot injuries but was later reported to be in stable condition.  The 28-year-old man was subsequently identified and arrested, and police recovered the pistol used in the shooting during a search of premises where he had been staying.
