Border police searched houses and auxiliary premises in three locations in the Mitrovica area as a follow-up to an earlier migrant smuggling, illegal weapon possession and narcotics case. During the search of a prisoner’s house, officers found and seized a rifle with eight cartridges. The prisoner was brought from the correctional centre to be present during the search and for an interview, after which he was returned to the correctional centre.
