Residents found a suspected improvised explosive device lying in a street next to parked cars, with a mobile phone beside it. Police sealed off the area. An examination at the scene established that the phone was switched off and not connected to the device. Bomb disposal specialists removed the device for examination. The type of explosive material has not yet been established. On 5 September 2026, police identified and arrested two men, aged 47 and 46, who are suspected of having placed the explosive. Three mobile phones were seized for examination. They are charged with the attempted destruction of property with explosives and with the unlicensed possession of weapons, committed jointly.
