A pistol, over €40,000 and 650,000 dinars in cash, three cars, and several mobile phones were seized during a major police operation targeting a human smuggling ring active across Serbia. The raid, carried out in Belgrade, Pirot, Subotica, Niš, and Šimanovci, resulted in the arrest of 11 individuals suspected of enabling illegal transit of migrants from Bulgaria through Serbia and into EU countries, including Hungary and Croatia, with the ultimate destination being Germany. Among the arrested is the alleged ringleader, a 48-year-old man, who is believed to have coordinated the entire smuggling network.
