Following the circulation of a video on social media showing firearm use during New Year’s Eve celebrations, three men were identified and interviewed: a 71-year-old man, a 15-year-old minor, and a 22-year-old man. All admitted to firing weapons during the celebration. Police searches resulted in the seizure of an HS pistol with two magazines and 36 cartridges (lawfully registered to the 71-year-old), 41 shell casings of two different types from the scene, and an additional Zoraki 917-T pistol (9 mm) voluntarily surrendered by the 22-year-old. By order of the State Prosecutor, the 71-year-old was detained for 48 hours, while the minor and the 22-year-old were released under regular procedure. The case was initiated as causing general danger, and further investigations are ongoing.
