A man was arrested on suspicion of committing the crimes of assaulting a police officer in the line of duty and unlawful manufacture and trade of weapons or explosive materials. Police received a report of gunshots being heard in a residential area, and upon responding to the report and locating the suspect, he fired several shots at least at two police officers. Police raided the suspect's home and seized several pieces of rifle and pistol ammunition. In April 2026, the Supreme Court of Republika Srpska confirmed the seven-year prison sentence for the man for the attempted murder of two police officers.
