A 37-year-old man fired a Pietro Beretta pistol at a his acquaintance, a 46-year-old man, from a distance of less than one metre after partially opening the entrance gate to his house, causing a serious gunshot wound to victim. The suspect then carried the illegally possessed pistol approximately 2.5 kilometres away and concealed it at an abandoned site. Police subsequently recovered the pistol with 14 rounds of 9 mm Parabellum ammunition. The suspect is under investigation for attempted aggravated murder and illegal possession and carrying of a firearm.
