A man sustained a gunshot wound to the left lower leg after a loaded 7×64 mm Sabatti Rover 870 hunting rifle accidentally discharged during a hunting trip. The rifle fell from the roof of a vehicle after the victim's hunting companion placed it there and closed the vehicle door, causing it to hit the ground and fire. The suspect was charged with negligently causing bodily injury.
