Two men, aged 45 and 48, used a forged key to enter a man’s apartment and stole a safe containing a legally owned pistol, cash, and gold. After discovering the pistol, they returned to leave the safe and the weapon at the apartment, but the police caught them there. One of the perpetrators had a prior record for wounding.
