As part of the police action ''Porto'', aimed at solving criminal acts of robbery and grand larceny, the police conducted searches of the locations used by three men, aged 25, 24  and 35, during which they found and seized an unknown firearm. During the attempted arrest of the 35-year-old man, he shot at the police, and they shot back in self-defence. No victims were reported. The man fled the scene. It was learned that the 35-year-old man is a convict serving a multi-year sentence for organized crime in connection with robberies and thefts and was temporarily released on extra-institutional benefits when this incident happened.  The police arrested the man.
