A policeman discharged his service pistol and shot a dog in self-defence while responding to a reported case of a robbery by two perpetrators. One of them tried to flee the scene and unleashed his dog, which attacked the policemen. Both perpetrators, a 34-year-old and a 43-year-old man, were arrested.
