A 30-year-old woman after being harassed by her former partner, a 41-year-old man who came to her apartment, called her current partner, a police officer, to help her. After seeing the police officer, the 41-year-old man opened fire and injured the police officer who then shot in self-defence and killed the 41-year-old man. Firearms in legal and illegal possession were used in the incident.
