Police officers and prosecutors investigated several people suspected of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition. During the searches at the homes and premises used by 12 people aged between 25 and 60, the police officers found and seized over 200 cartridges of different calibers, 10 gas and air pistols, 23 air and long-barrel guns of various models, two RGD-5 and RGD-33 grenades, a POMZ 2 mine, as well as 672 air gun projectiles, all illegally possessed and without permits. Authorities also found violations in the storage of five legally owned hunting rifles. All seized items were sent for ballistic and forensic examination to determine if they were used in other crimes. Investigations are ongoing.
