A 63-year-old man killed his 43-year-old nephew and the nephew's 12-year-old son over unresolved property disputes and family issues. He later took his own life following an armed standoff with police. Concerned by the victims' disappearance, the wife of the deceased alerted the authorities. After the suspect refused to cooperate, police forcibly entered his home. During the operation, the suspect threw an explosive device that failed to detonate but began emitting smoke.
