Police stopped a vehicle and, during the search of the driver, discovered and seized a pistol with 14 rounds tucked in his waistband; the man possessed only a shooting-range permit, not a carry permit. After consultation with the prosecutor and initiation of the case, the suspect was released under standard procedures.
