Police stopped a vehicle and arrested a man wanted on multiple warrants in connection with drug-related crimes. During a court-authorised search of the 39-year-old man, another person in the vehicle, and the vehicle itself, officers seized approximately 1.5 kg of suspected amphetamine (“speed”), 0.5 kg of suspected cannabis, a loaded pistol with ammunition, digital scales, large sums of cash, mobile phones, and other related items. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking and obstructing police duties, and was handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office for further proceedings.
