A manually modified Carcano rifle with an altered grip and a short detachable barrel was found and seized, along with 29 rounds of ammunition of unknown make and calibre, in the home of a man during the police search. The man was arrested and charged with the criminal offence of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosive materials.
