A bear was shot and killed by a park ranger after it approached a local resident's home. The resident spotted the animal while working in her garden and called the rangers. Upon arrival, the rangers attempted to repel the bear using sirens, shouting, and rubber bullets. However, the bear charged at the rangers. In self-defence, a ranger discharged a rifle with live ammunition, killing the bear on the spot.
