Ten people (eight girls, one boy, and a man working as a school guard), were shot and killed, and five children and a teacher were shot and injured when a 14-year-old boy entered the school and started shooting with a ''Zbrojovka'' pistol, cal. 9mm. The police arrested the perpetrator. The injured victims were hospitalised. The police stated that the perpetrator notified the police of the incident and that he had planned the shooting for a month and had a list of targets. Apart from two pistols, the boy also had four Molotov cocktails and five loaded magazines.  The firearms were in his father's legal possession and were locked in a safe. The boy visited shooting ranges with his father occasionally. The boy's father was also arrested. The case is under investigation.
