The police carried out searches of the homes of two hunters, aged 35 and 57, suspected of illegal possession of weapons and other items used for poaching.
As a result, the police officers found and seized an EKOL SPECIAL 99 model signal pistol, 9 mm caliber (the number and serial number on the pistol were damaged), and 14 cartridges of 9 mm caliber for the pistol, a weapon of unknown model in disassembled condition with a silencer (the number and serial number on the weapon were erased) and ammunition of various types and calibers, all illegally possessed and without any permit.
The seized weapons and ammunition were forwarded for ballistics and trace analysis to establish whether they had also been used in committing other crimes. At the same time, violations were detected in the possession and storage of legally owned hunting weapons. The investigation continues.
