The police responded to a case of domestic violence in which a 62-year-old man injured his wife and son with sharp objects under unclear circumstances. At the scene, the police found the perpetrator locked in his apartment, armed with firearms, refusing to surrender.  The perpetrator opened fire with a light machine gun at the police. As a result, the police fired back and killed the perpetrator.
