The police arrested five members of an organised criminal group (aged 48, 70, 42, 46, and 53)  and seized two pistols and multiple rounds of ammunition of various calibres, alongside cash, luxury vehicles and incriminating business documentation, in coordinated operations across Belgrade, Kraljevo, Čačak, Novi Sad and Prokuplje. They are suspected organisers/operators in a cross‑border trafficking network that, between October 2024 and August 2025, used transport companies in Bulgaria and Hungary to smuggle large consignments of narcotics (at least ~157 kg cocaine and over 1,000 kg hashish) from Spain/Italy to Germany. Two suspects remain at large, and the investigation is ongoing.
