A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery. The perpetrator allegedly attempted to rob a betting shop worker. Masked and armed with a pistol, he threatened the worker after she had locked up the shop and stepped outside. However, the worker had left the money from the day's earnings inside the shop, which caused the suspect to flee in an unknown direction. Further investigation is ongoing.
