Bosnia and Herzegovina Police Strengthen Open-Source Intelligence Capabilities with SEESAC's Support
As a part of its ongoing efforts to further enhance the capacities of Criminal Police services throughout Southeast Europe, SEESAC organized an Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) training for members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina police forces. Held in Sarajevo from 22 to 24 July 2024, the training aimed to equip participants with advanced skills in utilizing OSINT tools and techniques.
Over the course of three days, the training provided a comprehensive overview of Internet investigation methods, data sourcing, and network investigation. Officers gained hands-on experience with best practices in these areas, enhancing their ability to prevent and investigate crime more effectively.
Participants engaged in practical exercises that allowed them to apply their newly acquired skills and knowledge in simulated scenarios. This hands-on approach helped improve their operational security, refine search and information-gathering techniques, and analyze virtual currency transactions key competencies for their ongoing work.
This training was organized as part of the Regional IPA project in Support for Enhancing the Fight Against the Illegal Possession, Misuse, and Trafficking of Small Arms and Light Weapons in the Western Balkans (2021/425-067).
