UNDP SEESAC Hosts 7th Coordination Meeting on Gender and Security Sector Reform in Serbia
On 29 January 2014, UNDP SEESAC hosted the 7th Coordination Meeting on Gender and Security Sector Reform (SSR), which was attended by representatives of the UNDP, OSCE Mission to Serbia, the Royal Embassy of Norway in Serbia, the Embassy of Sweden in Serbia, and the Swedish National Police Board.
The participants outlined key ongoing and planned activities and discussed avenues for improved coordination and cooperation. The next coordination meeting was tentatively set to take place in June 2014 when further proposals for projects’ synergies will be presented.
Regular meetings between international stakeholders supporting national efforts in Security Sector Reform (SSR) in Serbia were originally initiated by the OSCE Mission to Serbia, in order to enable knowledge sharing and facilitate coordination of efforts in this important field.
