UNDP SEESAC supports development of Gender Training Manual for MoD and AFs in BiH

Members of the Working Group for Development of Gender Training Manual in the Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) held a meeting on 26 November 2015 in Sarajevo.

Supported by UNDP SEESAC, the meeting was organized to plan activities for completing the Gender Training Manual.  The Manual is intended for gender trainers/educators who develop and deliver gender awareness activities in the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Armed Forces (AF) of BiH.

Members of the Working Group (WG) reviewed what has been accomplished, identified challenges in developing the Manual as well as the type of support needed to complete it and planned how to finalize it.  The WG also planned gender training in 2016 in MOD and AF of BiH.

Members of the Working Group joined the global campaign 16 days of activism to End Violence Against Women. They developed their slogan at the meeting “Silence is also violence. Stop violence against women” and shared their photo on social media.
