The Analysis of Changes Made to the EU Common Military List in 2012

Following the established practice of providing support to national authorities in their work towards strengthening arms control, SEESAC drafted an unofficial analysis of the changes made to The Common Military List of the European Union. The new Common Military List of the European Union 2012 (2012/C 85/01) was published by the Official Journal of the European Union in March of 2012, after being adopted by the EU Council. It amends The Common Military List of the European Union adopted by the Council on 21 February 2011.

The document, which can be downloaded in English and in BCMS, highlights the changes in the 2012 EU Military List relative to 2011 List. Its purpose is to facilitate and encourage the adoption by states in the Western Balkans of the latest EU military list, thus helping them increase their compliance with EU regulations in the area of arms transfer controls.
