Serbia: Annual Report on the Transfers of Controlled Goods in 2008

The Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of the Republic of Serbia produced their third annual report on export and import of weapons, military equipment and dual-use goods. The report provides an overview of the exports and imports of controlled goods in the period 1 January to 31 December 2008.

The recommendations of the European Union have been incorporated in regards of the format and contents of the national report, in order to bring it into compliance with similar reports prepared by the European Union members, and in order to be comparable to the national reports of the countries from the region.

The report provides detailed information on the national legislation in the field of international transfers of controlled goods, basis of the import-export control system in Serbia, information about international cooperation and activities for further development of the control system.

The report also contains detailed data on the companies entered in the Register of Entities Licensed to Perform International Transfers of Controlled Goods, on issued licenses and actual imports and exports, their financial value, quantity and type of controlled goods, broken down by destinations and end-user countries, as well as data on refused licensing applications.
