SEESAC's Achievements Noted in the 2010 UN Disarmament Yearbook
The United Nations Disarmament Yearbook is a concise and comprehensive reference tool on disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control issues around the world. It provides examples of successful and tangible results achieved in the realm of disarmament. In its 35th edition, covering the year 2010, SEESAC's efforts to encourage security cooperation in the region of South Eastern Europe were listed as an example of a successful accomplishment between the regional governments of the Western
Balkans. This recognition of SEESAC's efforts came as a result of a successful implementation of activities in four areas, namely:

This recognition of SEESAC’s efforts came as a result of a successful implementation of activities in four areas, namely:
1) Improvement of the management and security of unsafe and unstable stockpiles of weapons and ammunition; Read more
2) Reduction of the available stockpiles of weapons and ammunition through destruction activities; Read more
3) Enhancement of SALW controls through the implementation of international and national instruments on marking and tracing in the Western Balkan countries; Read more
4) Improving the administrative capacity and support for transparency of arms transfers to and from the Western Balkans. Read more
